15” A Zildjian Hi-Hat Bottom Hollow Logo [1978–1982] 1402g
Originally manufactured as part of a 15″ marching cymbal pair, this Hollow Logo cymbal makes an excellent vintage hi-hat bottom.
I happen to own an original 15″ A Zildjian New Beat bottom, and interestingly it weighs exactly the same: 1402g. This is not a New Beat, but it does illustrate why these heavier Hollow Logo cymbals make such excellent candidates for building a custom 15″ hi-hat.
The Hollow Logo era remains one of the most sought-after periods in A Zildjian history, appreciated for its warm, musical character and outstanding consistency.
