Cymbal is denoted as “IAK” (Intermediate American K) because the era in which it was made (1987-1993) was between Zildjian’s first hand-hammered cymbal (Early American K, or, EAK) and the eventual machine-hammered Ks that we all know as the K line today.  These IAKs do have some actual hand-hammering work done to them but, unlike the EAKs, these were machine lathed.
