19” Wuhan China [1980s] 1550g

OLD SCHOOL WUHAN. PURE TRASH.

A proper early Wuhan China from the 1980s, long before Wuhan cymbals became the familiar budget alternative found everywhere today. This 19” example still carries its wonderful original Chinese factory markings, including the circular “MADE IN WUHAN, CHINA” stamp and the original 48公分 marking: 48 cm.

At 1550g it is relatively light for its size, giving it that classic old-school Chinese character: quick, dirty, explosive and wonderfully trashy. The traditional upturned bell and broad profile make it unmistakably a real China cymbal.
